This event is designed to educate, enlighten and inspire women. Some of these topics will be relevant for you and some may be relevant for people close to you. 

The topics we will focus on are:

  • Fitness (How this habit can improve your mental health) 

  • Trauma (How this can shape your mental and physical health) 

  • Domestic violence (It is more common than you realize) 

  • Suicide (How can we help ourselves and others) 


With the below statistics chances are you know someone who is dealing with some of these topics. 

  • One in six New Zealand adults had been diagnosed with a common mental disorder at some time in their lives. (The 2017/18 New Zealand Health Survey)

  • Police attend a family violence situation every 6 minutes (they estimate that only around 20% of incidents are reported).

  • The number of suicides in New Zealand has reached its highest-ever level, with 685 people dying in the year to June 30. (Aug 2019)
